A 75/25 split
LSE says time is split 75/25 between geography and economics, with mathematical and statistical analysis built in.
Undergraduate · LSE Geography with Economics
LSE's BSc Geography with Economics splits its time 75/25 between the two subjects, so it is a geography degree with a serious economics component, not a joint degree. It asks for A-level Mathematics and says Economics is not required. LSE has flagged that its 2027-entry requirements are still subject to confirmation, so the entry rules read here are labelled 2026 entry.

The degree
LSE says the uneven impact of economic activity globally and the forces driving social, political, environmental and economic change are the focus, with mathematical and statistical analysis building the skills. The first year takes methodology, geography and economics courses and one option from three; the second year adds compulsory geography courses, one in microeconomics, and the field-methods course with its overseas trip.
