Privacy enquiries: admissions@avandyedu.com
Information we collect
When you submit an enquiry through the website, we may collect information such as your name, email address, student year group, target universities, school and country, annual cohort size and any information you choose to include in your message.
We also process limited technical information required to operate the website and enquiry service, including your selected language, the page from which an enquiry was submitted and submission timestamps. Our hosting provider may process standard request and security information as part of operating the website.
Please do not provide sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary for your enquiry. If you provide information about another person, including a student, please ensure that you are entitled to do so and provide only what is relevant.
How we use personal data
We use personal data to:
- respond to student, family and school enquiries;
- understand your requirements and assess the appropriate next step;
- communicate with you about a potential or existing advisory relationship;
- administer and maintain appropriate records of communications;
- protect the website and enquiry service from misuse or spam;
- comply with legal and regulatory obligations where applicable.
We do not sell personal data.
Submitting an enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing communications.
Our legal basis for processing
Where UK data protection law applies, we process personal data where this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform a contract, to pursue our legitimate interests in operating and developing our advisory services, or to comply with a legal obligation. Where consent is required for a particular activity, we will request it separately.
Service providers and data sharing
We use trusted service providers to operate this website and process enquiries. These currently include Vercel for website hosting and infrastructure and Resend for enquiry email delivery.
We may also share information with professional advisers or public authorities where this is reasonably necessary or legally required.
Service providers may only process personal data for the purposes for which they are engaged and subject to appropriate contractual and security requirements.
International data transfers
Because Avandy operates internationally and uses global technology providers, personal data may be processed in countries other than the country in which you are located. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we take reasonable steps to ensure that an appropriate transfer mechanism or other recognised protection is in place.
How long we keep information
We retain enquiry and correspondence information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the enquiry, manage any resulting relationship, maintain appropriate business records and meet applicable legal obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the enquiry and whether it develops into an advisory relationship.
Cookies
The website currently uses a functional language-preference cookie when you explicitly choose a website language. This preference is stored for up to 12 months so that the website can respect your selected locale on future visits.
The current website does not use advertising cookies or behavioural advertising technology. If our use of cookies or analytics changes materially, this Privacy Policy and any required consent controls will be updated accordingly.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights relating to your personal data, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to processing, and in some circumstances data portability.
You may contact us at admissions@avandyedu.com if you wish to exercise a privacy right or ask a question about how your information is handled.
Where UK data protection law applies, you also have the right to raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, services or legal obligations change. The latest version will always be published on this page with its effective date.
